There is always a phrase we find in every move of God, at every historical new beginning, at every defining moment in Biblical history. That phrase is “and they built/repaired the altar of the Lord!” In modern history, we have forgotten the importance of God’s altar.  However, in Dr. Alemu Beeftu’sRestoring the Altar for Fresh Fire, we have a modern day call and explanation for God’s people to find their way back to His altar to experience His Fire, Joy and Renewal!  We must have a generation that tears down iniquitous ALTARS and builds ALTARS filled with God’s uncompromising fire!  I thank God for my dear friend, Alemu Beeftu, for writing this wonderful book.  Not only does he explain that the ALTAR is a structure used in worship as the place for presenting, but he reveals the necessity of the sacrifice of worship today!

You will learn about worship, but this book makes me want to go up to the “high place” and tear the devil’s kingdom down.  Now is the time for our generation to build God’s altar.  This is the manual that will help us understand why and how.

ABOUT DR. ALEMU BEEFTU

Our founder and president, Dr. Alemu Beeftu, was born on an isolated farm in central Ethiopia. As the youngest of 10 children, Alemu was expected to spend his life on the family farm. But he was so desperate to learn how to read and write that he ran away to a missionary school at around age 12. Once there, he not only learned literacy but also found a Savior in Jesus Christ.

Alemu's personal experience as one without easy access to written resources led him to pursue education with a passion. As the Communist persecution of the church intensified, friends and mentors begged Alemu to become a student abroad. He culminated his education with degrees from Biola University and Michigan State University, where he holds both masters and doctoral degrees in Curriculum Design and Community Development.

While at Michigan State, Alemu served as Assistant Professor in Adult & Lifelong Education. Nearly 20 years on the international field (including a decade as the Christian Leadership Development Specialist for Compassion International) also intensified Alemu’s personal passion for, and understanding of, his work through Gospel of Glory.

Today, Gospel of Glory's reach extends into over 25 countries on six continents. Our alternative training methods, still being developed for less-than-traditional Christian training sites, are being embraced by areas throughout the world where a "leadership vacuum" exists for the Church.

We invite you to become a part of this growing network of leadership development and strategy.
